When it comes to an Amsterdam holiday you’re going to want to do a lot of work in a small amount of time. The issue is some Amsterdam museums can take the best part of a day to explore, which is why the Amsterdam small museums are great for having a day packed with fun activities. I decided to put a little guide together of various museums in Amsterdam you need to take a look at when you have the time!
The cheese museum Amsterdam is a really nice, unique and intimate museum. There’s loads to look at, a selfie booth and a lot of history and culture pack into a couple of rooms. While you’re there you can also try cheese samples and buy your own cheese to take away to enjoy when you get home. Amsterdam is famous for it’s cheese and loads of people leave with Amsterdam cheese, this is the place to go if you want to try new Amsterdam cheese variations that you’d not have found before! The cheese museum is also free!
If you love Amsterdam tulips like we do you’ll love the tulip amsterdam museum, the tulip museum is the place to go if you want to find out all the history and culture behind the tulip, the various types of tulip and what they really mean to Amsterdam. The museum is free with the Iamsterdam card which we used or it’s normal Admission at €5 for adults, €3 for students, and €10 for families of three or more. You can see our Amsterdam tulip museum review here.
The cow museum Amsterdam is the smallest of the three. You could say it’s a shop filled with so many cows, it’s great for keeping children entertained in Amsterdam and you could spend a good half hour in there looking at all the cows. I’d suggest starting with the cow museum first if you’re going to try all these on the list.
It doesn’t matter how much time you have in Amsterdam, you can enjoy these three museums and still have a lot of time left to do more throughout the day. There are loads of small Amsterdam museums dotted around and they all offer something a little different, so give them a visit when you visit Amsterdam.
